NEWSTALK

Description

Newstalk 106-108 fm required the redesign and development of their website to enable them to get closer to their listeners and to make better use of their website through the management and administration of the content internally.

Project Details

Aside from the core redesign of the site Newstalk.ie needed to be incorporated into a bespoke content management system to enable show producers to manage their own content on a daily basis. It was ascertained that a key user group on the site wanted to subscribe and listen to Podcast content and so a lot of time was spent building an administration system to enable the creation and dissemination of this content online.

Outcome

Phase 1 of the project saw the launch of the main Newstalk.ie website in September 2007. This was followed by the Off The Ball microsite and then a site for The Breakfast Show. Since then the site has continued to grow and expand as new inititatives and marketing campaigns are launched. In November 2007 Newstak.ie won the Best News and Digital Media website award at the Golden Spiders.

Lightbox continue to work with Newstalk on a daily basis providing support and design and development expertise for all their online activity.
